'Franklin D. Roosevelt.' #5 Blog

Summary/Info: Franklin Delano Roosevelt or FDR was the 32nd president. He was a popular president even said "The Man Who Changed America" The citizens of the united states liked FDR, the Fireside talks he did over the radio. The author says "He was such a dynamic president." He loved to be first,  he was the first political candidate in his district to campaign by automobile. He also was the first president to fly in an airplane, first to name a women to his cabinet, first to appoint a press secretary, and the first to leave the country in a time of war. He was the first and only president to be elected a third term. He also had a wheelchair, he found not walk by himself, he would need braces or crutches of even other people to help him. He also lead America to victory in WWII.

Character analysis (Early Life): FDR was born on January 30, 1882 and born into a pretty wealthy family. At a young age he could tell he was in a "privileged class" or "exclusive class." FDR did not go to public school, his mother taught him how to read and write before he was 6. Then put him to the hands of succession of governesses and tutors to teach him Latin, French, and German. Also History, geography, science, and arithmetic. At the age of 10 he became a naturalist and began collecting bird nests, eggs, feathers, and recording and observing different things. At the age of 11 his father gave him a shotgun. His parents were pretty strict though, can't do this, can't talk to them, only do this and so on. But FDR had a pretty good childhood, probably better than most at the time.

'The Walking Dead Road to Woodbury' #4 Blog

Summary: The group of survivors did go with Martinez, but he didn't talk much about himself, rather more about this place called Woodbury and saying how good it is. Walls, food, protection and other nonsense. They had to make 2 stops, one at Walmart the other at a near by gas station. They made it quick, and barely found anything, so it was pretty much a waste of time. But at the gas station they found some gas, not a lot. And that was about it. The group continued most of the time it was all quite. And as they were approaching this town, they seen a sign that said, "WELCOME TO WOODBURY POPULATION 1,102."  Josh turns to the rest of the group and says "How do you feel about this." Everybody having anxious looks on their faces. Then Martinez turns and asks for their weapons, saying it's the "Town Rules." Josh doesn't seem to buy this and starts to argue. Then Martinez finally came up with a conclusion. He said to put away the larger weapons but they can keep the sidearms "tucked away." Now they were about to go on their Nickel Tour.

Signpost: Tough Question-In the last blog I did Martinez asks a really tough question towards Josh's group asking them if they want to go with him to this town. The group took a long time and finally answered "sure, why not." But they were faced with another tough question, to give up their weapons. They were also, sceptic about this. Asking themselves if they should trust this guy and do what he says. And yet again they said "Fine." but at least kept the other sidearms. I think this is going to bring conflict and drama at this town if they stay long. Not trusting another person.
